Xena is an AKC registered Anatolian Shepherd. She started here as a livestock guardian to our bucks and poultry. Her calm personality and sweet nature endear her to all of our guests and she has been promoted to ensuring the farm perimeter is safe from predators. Our predators include moderate pressure from coyotes and eagles/hawks in addition to low pressure from black bears and cougars.

Nixie came to us with her own herd of goats and has been a wonderful addition to the LGD team. Nixie is so sweet with her baby goats (kids) - even allowing them to use her as a bed. Of our livestock guardians, Nixie is the one that prefers to stay in close with the livestock as the last line of defense in the unlikely event a predator makes it past the other guardians. In her spare time, she uses her huge paws to demand more loves from the humans.

Gauge recently joined our team of livestock guardian dogs. His goofy nature keeps everyone on their toes. He shows great potential and a natural aptitude for his job and we’re looking forward to seeing what a team he and Xena become.
