2024 Anatolian Shepherd Puppies

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of a new litter from our exceptional Anatolian Shepherds, Gauge and Xena, at Heart & Soul Farm! Born on July 1, 2024, this litter promises to inherit the exceptional qualities of both parents, making them ideal for farms and families seeking dedicated and loving guardians.

We can't wait to watch these pups grow and develop into the remarkable Anatolian Shepherds they are destined to be.

Puppies are ready to go home at 12 weeks; requests for an earlier date are considered on a case-by-case basis. Puppies scheduled for pickup after their 12th week will be charged a boarding fee.

Puppy Care & Development at our Farm

  • Puppy wellness exam by our vet at 6, 9 and 12 weeks*

  • Vaccinations (6 weeks distemper & bordatella; 9 weeks distemper and Lepto; 12 weeks distemper, lepto and rabies)*

  • Microchip at 6 weeks

  • 12 weeks of LGD training by their canine parents

  • Living with goats and sheep. Exposure to horses and poultry. Working parents are on-site.

  • Extensive handling by people of all ages

  • Desensitization training for loud sounds (thunder, fireworks, gunshot) using digital reproductions

  • Weekly emailed updates on your puppy

  • Buyer may schedule visits with their pup while the pup is still with the litter

  • Both parents are health tested (OFA/Pennhip) for hips/elbows (good/normal) (details here)

  • On-going support from me as the breeder for the life of the puppy in helping with questions and concerns that may arise.

* assumes the puppy remains with his/her litter on the farm through 12 weeks of age; puppies that leave earlier will not have all of these visits/vaccinations and it is up to the new owners to complete the vaccination series in a timely manner.

Reserving a Puppy:

When pups are under 12 weeks of age, reservations may be made. To make a reservation, a 50% non-refundable deposit holds your pup; balance is due before pup leaves the farm. Puppy selection is done in partnership - we work with buyer’s to understand what their living situation is and what they need from a puppy/dog and provide guidance as to which puppy(ies) best meet that criteria.

8/5/24 - 5 Weeks Old

They’re starting to look like mini versions of their future selves and personalities are emerging.

It’s been hot enough here that afternoons typically find the puppies napping. But once the heat of the afternoon fades, it’s game on and puppies are actively playing together.

Individual puppy photos by collar color can be viewed here.

7/29/24 - 4 Weeks Old

It’s official - the pups are on the move!

They're 4 weeks old and are officially walking pirañas Teeth have erupted, they're walking well and are more alert about their environment.

Over the next few weeks, puppies will start sleeping less and playing more. During this time, we’ll be observing puppies personalities to help clients determine which pup will best fit their situation.

Mom Xena, though tired, is healthy and doing an amazing job taking care of her puppies. Her dedication and nurturing nature are truly inspiring as she ensures her little ones are well-fed and cared for.

We couldn't be more pleased with how well Xena and her puppies are doing!
