Part Time Farm Hand

Position: General Farm Hand
Location: Monroe, Washington
Reports to: Farm Owner

Job Summary: Farm Hand
Seeking a reliable adult for approximately 2-3 hours per day (current open shifts include Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Responsibilities include cleaning stalls, turning out 4 horses, and filling waters and hay in stalls and paddocks. Must have experience operating a tractor, handling horses, be dependable, and able to work independently.

Additional hours for general maintenance tasks, such as fence and shelter repairs, may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill hay and water in paddocks and barn.

• Clean 5 stalls/day.

• Operate tractors, trucks, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently.

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including mowing, repair of fences and shelters, etc.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working on a ranch or farm.

• Ability to safely operate tractors including switching out implements.

• Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs bags of grain; 2-3 string bales of hay).

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

• Horse handling experience a plus.

Open Shifts: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday at a mutually-agreed upon start time

Rate: $20+ per hour depending on experience
